STS071-702-009 (27 June-7 July 1995) --- A time exposure on a 70mm camera was used to provide this unusual scene of the vertical stabilizer and part of the Orbital Maneuvering Systems (OMS) pods on the Earth-orbiting space shuttle Atlantis. This type exposure is part of NASA's ongoing evaluation of the interaction of oxygen with materials in low Earth-orbit. — NASA JSC · 1995.
