AS09-26A-3727A (8 March 1969) --- Color infrared photograph of the Texas Gulf Coast, Galveston Bay to Matagorda Bay, as seen from the Apollo 9 spacecraft during it 78th revolution of Earth. Houston is located at right center edge of photograph. Also visible are Galveston, Texas City, Manned Spacecraft Center, and Freeport. The mouth of the Colorado River is located near left center edge of picture. This picture was taken as a part of the SO65 Multispectral Terrain Photography Experiment. — NASA JSC · 2009.
