KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. -- In the SPACEHAB Payload Processing Facility (SPPF), Cape Canaveral, STS-95 Payload Specialist John Glenn (left), who is a senator from Ohio, checks out equipment with Payload Specialist Chiaki Mukai (right), M.D., Ph.D., who represents the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) while KSC workers watch. STS-95 crew members have been participating in SPACEHAB familiarization in the SPPF. Scheduled to launch Oct. 29, the mission includes research payloads such as the Spartan solar-observing deployable spacecraft, the Hubble Space Telescope Orbital Systems Test Platform, the International Extreme Ultraviolet Hitchhiker, as well as the SPACEHAB single mod — NASA KSC · 1998.
