STS-95 Payload Specialist Chiaki Mukai, at far left, of the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) works on the Biological Research in Canisters (BRIC) experiment which will fly on the scheduled nine-day mission. Watching her, starting with second from left, are STS-95 Pilot Steven W. Lindsey, Mission Specialist Scott E. Parazynski, and NASDA representatives Sachiko Aizawa and Shigeki Kamigaichi. STS-95 will feature a variety of research payloads, including the Spartan solar-observing deployable spacecraft, the Hubble Space Telescope Orbital Systems Platform, the International Extreme Ultraviolet Hitchhiker, and experiments on space flight and the aging process.
