Former blast furnace #2 belonging to the now defunct company Altos Hornos del Mediterráneo S.A. (Mediterranean Blast Furnaces Ltd.), located in Port of Sagunto , Valencian Community, Spain. The company Altos Hornos del Mediterráneo S.A (AHM), based on the Altos Hornos de Vizcaya S.A. , was established in 1971 to supply the ferrous metal industry in Sagunto. This blast furnace, the only one remaining of the 3 that were operating, is 64 m high and was first built in 1922 and remodeled in the 1970s. It operated for only 13 years after its restoration, and is open to visits from the public.
